Qasr bin Ghashir is a populated place near Tripoli, in the Tripoli District (Tarabulus), of the Tripolitania region in northwestern Libya.
In the 2011 Libyan civil war, the town, located close by Tripoli International Airport, was a loyalist pro-Gaddafi camp which included a prisoners of war camp. On August 27, 2011, however, rebel forces, having captured the surrounding area in the Battle of Tripoli (2011), captured the village.
